(to forgive and to forget)
B : . . . . . .
G : Speechless? Wasn’t this your idea to do this in the first place?
B : Well it is our first dialogue, still getting over the early anxiety. Hehe.
G : Why the anxiety? As long as we don’t say anything sensitive here no one is going to get raped. Right?
B : But I suppose we don’t enjoy that security in recent times. We Malaysians tend to shoot the messenger. Anger isn’t channelled towards the right path.
G : Oh you mean like Wayne Rooney!
B : That was more of frustration.
G : You’d think a person the age of 23 should be mature enough to control his frustration, his anger. But he’s acting like a 17 year old.
B : I’d think a person, by the age of 21 should have some extend of maturity too. Yes, we could understand the source of anger, but why make things worse? Let water pass under the bridge. Let bygones be bygones.
G : Time will heal, I hope. Revenge is always the weak pleasure of a little and narrow mind
B : But it seems like time not only failed to heal, but only served to make things a lot worse. The anger seems to be building instead of subsiding.
G : That will surely get in the way of more important priorities won’t it?
B : Definately. In a way, it seems like the fire of anger is hell bent on flaming itself wilder. Even if there’s no one acting as the wind flaming it. What others are actually trying to do is trying to be firefighters, putting out the flame of anger, but the fire is just way to hot.
G : Flaming on its own? A one man show. Cristiano Ronaldo comes to mind!
B : Yes yes. A bright star brimming with potential but now engulfed in his own petulance. Sulking at everything. Angry & frustrated with everyone but himself. If it doesn’t stop, a critical decline is inevitable.
G : Well I’m sure in Ronaldo’s case, he has his teammates and manager to guide and help him right?
B : One must be willing to help himself first, before being able to accept the help of others.
G : An eye for an eye leaves everybody blind. The time is always right to do the right thing.
B : God bless Martin Luther King Jr.
G : God bless the tortured soul.
